"The Museum of the Night", Abruzzo National Park, (15x3 m). This piece, which combines painting and relief, is full of special effects. It follows a beautiful and enchanted path at night, where nocturnal animals that live in the park are hiding in the dark, lit only by moonlight… I particularly enjoyed creating this piece. The fluorescent colours used are both delicate and electrifying. Rocks carved in polystyrene have been added to the painted surface, as well as trees with trunks and branches made of resin and real leaves and lush bushes. The short 15 metre walk through the wood is made in the dark (apart from special wood lamps) and gradually, as happens in real life, hidden in the bushes or in the branches of the tress, one begins to notice each and every nocturnal animal that lives in the park. Two talented artists and friends of mine collaborated on this piece: Leonardo Fabbri and Massimo Benucci, as well as Deirdre Hyde who painted the animals in the wood.
